Start the process by meeting with us in person, emailing, or giving us a call—whatever feels most comfortable for you. We’ll begin by learning about your needs and walking you through the next steps.

Cemetery Guidelines.

We’ll determine which cemetery the monument will be placed in and help you understand their specific requirements. Some cemeteries only allow flat granite or bronze markers, while others permit more custom options.

Type of Monument.

Decide if you need a single marker, double companion stone, or something more custom. We’ll help you choose the best format based on the number of names and details being included.

Color & Shape.

Gray granite with a serpentine top is a classic choice, but we offer a wide variety of colors and shapes. If you’re interested in a laser-etched photo or image, we recommend jet black granite for the clearest result.

Personal Details & Design

You’ll choose the names, dates, and any design elements you’d like on the front of the stone. Front inscriptions are included in the original price (unless custom artwork is requested). Inscriptions on the back are available for an additional fee.

Proof & Approval

Before anything is finalized, you’ll receive a scaled drawing of your monument for review. Once you approve the layout, we’ll send a final proof via DocuSign. This step ensures every detail is perfect before we move to production.

Production & Installation

Once approved, your monument will be placed into production. The stone is crafted, sandblasted, and then installed in the cemetery. Please note that current production time is a minimum of 12 months from the date of purchase.

Worth the Wait

At Foster’s Monument, we know you’re not just choosing a headstone — you’re creating a lasting tribute to someone you love. That’s why we take our time, focus on quality, and refuse to cut corners. While others may promise speed, we promise craftsmanship, care, and a monument that will stand the test of time.

Here’s why families trust us:

  • Solid Foundations: Every monument is installed on a cement foundation for long-term stability — a step we take to protect your investment for generations.

  • No Shortcuts: Some companies reduce costs by using thinner granite, skipping polishing, or outsourcing critical steps. We don’t. From stone selection to final engraving, every detail is completed with precision and pride.

  • Crafted with Care: Each design is handled with personal attention by our family, not pushed through a production line. We create with intention, not volume.

  • Built to Last: We use only high-quality granite and finishing processes to ensure your monument holds up beautifully for decades to come.

We never rush the process. While we may not be the quickest or the least expensive, we take great pride in doing things the right way.
